Yes. Joining Cheaper Charger costs nothing. You only pay if you decide to accept a quote from one of our partner installers. We're compensated by the installer, not by you.
You'll still benefit. Cheaper Charger members get access to our preferred partner rate regardless of group size. This is typically around 5% below standard market pricing. When a group does form in your area, you'll be notified and the saving gets bigger.
It depends on your area. In some postcodes, groups form within days. In others it takes a little longer. You'll receive an email as soon as there's an update. In the meantime, you can access the partner rate at any point.
We only partner with OZEV approved installers. OZEV is the Office for Zero Emission Vehicles, and their approval scheme requires installers to meet standards covering qualifications, insurance, and workmanship. We're currently onboarding a mix of national and regional partners to ensure coverage across the UK.
Yes. If you have a particular charger in mind, let us know in the sign up form. Our partner installers can source most major brands. If you have no preference, we'll recommend the best value option for your vehicle and property.
No. Signing up simply registers your interest. There's no contract, no deposit, and no obligation. When a quote comes through, you can accept it, decline it, or simply ignore it. No one will chase you.
